2-Celtic Weaving
|
1) Draw a cinch horizontal
line
and run the distort / zig zag filter
|
|
Set zig zag zag to smooth to get rounded bumps
2) Stroke the line 16pts thick.
Then copy and paste in front a white line 6pts thick
It would be a good time to set up your layers
now.
The Top Layer Interweave will be important in step 4.
3) Use baseline shift on the bottom type to move
it outside the circle.
(shift-option down arrow on selected type)
4)
Select overlapping vector path with hollow selection tool, copy
to clipboard and paste in front and move it into the top layer
(Stroke this 16pt purple). Paste in front of this selection and
leave it 6pt white.
( -C,
then -F,
move to top layer, -F)
|
 |
|
5) Since the purple
line is stroked thicker and not straight, you may have a color
leak of purple showing. To clean this up, you need to shorten
the edges of purple
(eraser tool on purple line edges to cut them back)
|
 |
6) In artwork mode select the 2 overlapping paths you
just created and dragcopy them to the next location. Use the transform
again command to make the last 3 copies you need. You may want to use
the magnifying glass to get in close to do this accurately.
(Select the 2 items in top layer, magnify,
-Y,
option dragcopy to next location, -D)
